Why Worry Bed & Breakfast & Fishing Charters Coromandel Town has been recognised as one of the country’s leading accommodation providers by Qualmark - tourism’s official quality assurance.
To earn the prestigious Qualmark star grading, Why Worry Bed & Breakfast & Fishing Charters Coromandel Town underwent a comprehensive on-site assessment, where performance is measured against up to 400 quality criteria.
As a result of the assessment, Why Worry Bed & Breakfast & Fishing Charters Coromandel Town was awarded a 4 star grade in the Guest and hosted category and an enviro bronze award in the responsible tourism category
Mark and Jennifer owners of Why Worry Comment that although qualmarks standards are very high and getting tougher all the time it does assure guests that what they see on websites and other promotional material is exactly what they will receive on any qualmark accredited business. Some other businesses promote themselves as high quality and when guests arrive some of them are very disappointed with regards to what’s advertised and what’s delivered on their arrival, this is some of the feedback we get from guests staying with us.
Why Worry Bed & Breakfast & Fishing Charters Coromandel Town offers Excellence in service and hospitality with outstanding panoramic views, super friendly hosts and the best small sized fishing charter operation in coromandel town
The Assessment criteria has been developed in conjunction with the tourism industry and is based on research into travellers expectations in areas such as customer service, facilities, cleanliness, safety and other business operations.
“Our official quality assurance can only be earned through an independent and rigorous assessment, so travellers can be assured Qualmark licensed properties meet our high standards, says Qualmark General Manager, Paula McCallum.
The Qualmark star grading system sits alongside the Qualmark endorsement system, for tourism businesses such as adventure activities, transport, attractions and nature experiences. Over 2,300 accommodation and other tourism businesses throughout New Zealand have been through the assessment process and are licensed to use the Qualmark star ratings.
Qualmark is jointly owned by Tourism New Zealand and the New Zealand Automobile Association. The programme is run as an industry service, on a not-for-profit basis and is the way the industry directs the travelling public to quality assured products and services.

NEW CHUMS BEACH VOTED IN TOP 10 BEACHES OF THE WORLD
A proposal to put most beautiful beaches in the country back in public hands has been presented to the Government.
New Chums beach in the Coromandel is privately-owned, but that could change if the Government signs off on the deal.
Its blue water, golden sand and pohutukawa trees have been praised by the likes of Lonely Planet and National Geographic, but another huge feature of New Chums beach is that it's virtually untouched.
And when owner and developer John Darby proposed to build 20 houses around New Chums and neighbouring whangapoua, the local council received around 1000 submissions opposing it which includes many overseas submissions all in favour of it remaining untouched by commercial development.
With all the submissions opposing it this It is highly unlikely that this developer wanting to make a quick buck and visually destroying one of the most visually beautiful and pristine beaches in the world will get his way This is one of those times when all the rules and regulations of bureaucracy act in the favour of all new Zealanders and visitors in protecting our natural heritage.
